Dolores A. Vitullo, a perpetual social butterfly always greeting people with a smile, passed away at home in Port Orange early the morning of February 17, 2025, at the age of 83.
A strong-willed, feisty woman, Dolores lived life unapologetically on her own terms. Born in New York, New York, Dolores grew up in Bellerose, Queens, and graduated from the Kings County School of Nursing, earning her R.N. She was a dedicated nurse for 38 years, serving both her patients and her community. A proud pilot, she earned her private pilot’s license at 50 and completed her first solo flight to the Florida Keys in 1992. She was an active member of The 99s and Women of Wings.
