Barbara Moohan Yeninas passed away on November 8, 2023, at the age of 79.
As the hostess of the 99s House at Sun ‘n Fun for 24 years, Barbara welcomed one and all. Whether the woman was a 99 or just needed the hospitality Barbara offered. Her smile and kindness were spread far and wide to 99s and all women attending Sun ‘n Fun from across our nation.
Barbara provided the WASP with an air-conditioned respite at The 99s House, indoor facilities for their comfort, and golf cart transportation provided by her loving husband of 47 years, John. Barbara’s attention to comfort for her volunteers was evident in providing transportation from the car lot to fresh baked goods and coffee in The 99s House.
An active member of the Florida Suncoast Chapter as their Membership Chair, Barbara became a 99 on August 7, 2000, and loved every minute of her time with her “aviation sisters”.
She would have been 80 on December 22nd, but you would never know her age from her active love of all things 99.
