2023 New Horizon Scholarship Winner

Congratulations to Kelli O’Donnell as the 2023 Southeast Section New Horizon Scholarship recipient. This year, Kelli applied for the scholarship to complete her instrument and commercial SEL ratings. Kelli also applied last year; however, she was not selected. This year, she beat out her competition by a small margin. It is great to see women achieving their dreams, but more importantly, it shows how persistent they are in achieving them. Kelli has been a strong promoter of aviation and The Ninety-Nines. She has served in many leadership roles within her community, especially supporting her Florida Suncoast Chapter’s mission to support women in aviation. Kelli is equally passionate about sea turtles. If you have a moment, congratulate Kelli on her achievement and look out for her continued leadership support within the Ninety-Nines. For those who applied and didn’t win, remember to reapply next year. The application is available on the Southeast Section website by Jan and is always due April 2. Competition is fiercely competitive, so start planning and reviewing your application early.
