Professional Pilot Leadership Initiative
What is the Ninety-Nines Professional Pilot Leadership Initiative (PPLI)?
The PPLI is a three-phase, structured leadership mentoring program that aims to accelerate the advancement of women in all pilot professions, facilitate mentoring, and enhance our leadership role in the aviation community. The program provides highly motivated Ninety-Nines with tools to develop their careers and leadership abilities. Through guided activities and formal mentoring partnerships, it strengthens and expands our network of women pilots.
The cornerstones of The Ninety-Nines Professional Pilot Leadership Initiative are:
- Structured one-on-one mentoring partnerships, where women pilots help each other to achieve career aspirations.
- Guided activities allow participants to learn practical leadership skills, share experiences, and develop goal-oriented career aspirations.
Who should apply?
Highly motivated 99s with at least a commercial certificate (actively flying) can apply. Members of your section or chapter working on advanced ratings, looking for a career move, advancing their careers with a current or future employer, preparing for an upgrade, or recovering from a setback, then it’s time for them to consider this program.
Because the program uses digital communication and guidance, time zones and locations are irrelevant. This program is for ALL 99s, no matter where they are career-wise, where they live, and what age they are. However, accessing the internet and email is essential; English is the language that bonds us. We currently have participants from the Far East, Canada, the USA, and Europe.
