Barbara Sierchio

Barbara Latture Sierchio of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on May 15, 2022. She was born in Abingdon, Virginia. She graduated from William King High School and attended Emory and Henry College in Emory, Virginia.
She earned her private pilot’s license at the age of 50 and became an avid pilot. She was a long-time member of The 99s women’s flying organization and was past president of the Suncoast Chapter of The 99s. She was instrumental in obtaining a permanent building for the organization on the grounds of Lakeland airport.
